How to Knit a Hat Class (in Studio)

Are you ready to step out of the world of flat knits and into a new, unlimited universe of in the round knitting? This class will introduce you to the indispensable technique of knitting with double pointed needles, which opens up doors to all things knit in circles. Join us in this two-session class where you'll create a cute unisex hat like the one in the picture — a great first and approachable in-the-round project to master your new circular knitting skills.
SKILLS COVERED —
In this class you will be guided on how to start with the long-tail cast-on, join to knit and purl in the round, work basic decreases and add extras such as a pompom! Choose between working in the round with circular needles and switching to double pointed needles, or working in double pointed needles all the way! Your knitting journey is just beginning; start that journey with a smashing success!
ABOUT THE CLASS —
The class takes 2 sessions of 2 hours. Materials NOT included.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED —
Beginner. Students must know how to cast on and knit and purl too! If you are not familiar with these techniques check out Private Knitting Class to learn all the basics.

You will receive a step-by-step written guide to complete My First Hat, tapestry needle, and stitch markers for FREE!
All materials for the class must be bought at Max and Herb. Students will receive 10% off the cost of supplies for the class.
Due to Covid-19,we have restricted the number of people to 6 PERSONS PER CLASS. Your seat will be at an appropriate distance from the other participants.

If you find you have to cancel your class and it is more than 7 days before the first session, you will receive a full refund. If it is 7 to 2 days (48 hours) before the first session, you can either receive a store credit or register for another class. If it is within 48 hours before the first session, you will not be able to receive a refund or a store credit. Unfortunately, if you miss a class, there are no available make up classes.
